surf smelt

haven't done it in a while. bag limit 25 pounds Day smelt and night melt in combination. it used to be a 5 gallon bucket full. ran across a couple of a frame surf nets at Fort Bragg property. crash can you give me the skinny ?

I caught two once with the guys one night out of Bodega! even though we did not have the blessing of the surf smelt gods, we all had a blast hanging out on the beach and trying our dangedest!

That's something I've wanted to do for a long time.  I hope to get around to it soon.  Mmmm, fried smelt....

Jeremy and Cam go out later in the summer with a frames up here. I haven't joined them yet.

A 5 gallon bucket is probably close to 25 lbs. if not a bit more. One way to find out.
