B2 squid hoochie  placed in line above the swimbait, no need to secure it. Hot pink is a good color. So is root beer.

+1 Never tried adding hoochies but I've added the silicone skirts used for bass jigs & spinnerbaits. 

Is there a difference between hoochies and squid skirts? I prefer to use the purple haze hoochies (not sure if that's the official color) or orange and pink (mostly because I'm a giants fan and a girl  ) seem to work well. I just put the hoochies on first and then slide my swim bait on. I've been luckier with smaller hoochies vs big ones.

I use hoochies on my laser minnows and skirts on my swim baits

I hVe slid large ones over a jighead with the scampi sticking out, works fine for me
