i know fees suck, but similar to lex (still closed), it's a non power boat lake.

Not recently, but have driven by and it was full last I saw.  Good to see, since it was down to basically a puddle last year.  Have had some good times there meeting up with Joel after work to do a lil' bass fishing from the shore.  There are some big bass in that lake (or hopefully still are) and when they used to stock it with trout had several follow up on my trout I was reeling in.  Carefull if you troll the far end, there are submerged trees that will snag you up even though it looks like it's 30-40 feet deep.  Fees there suck, but you can sometimes park outside and save the parking fee at least.

I was there last week fishing from shore. Its suprisingly 95% full. Water is very clear. Fished from 11 to 1. Got skunked. I snagged a twig and while i pulled it up, a 2lber was following. But did not eat. Im sure you will have better luck on a kayak as this lake has a lot of cover.  But then again, last year the water level was like 1%. Most the fish probably died/ate each other/fished out. My buddy pulled one about 2lbs couple weeks ago, he only fished for 30mins.  Good luck!
