Made it to the Rockwall a lil late - 10am.

Threw the castnet a couple times for nada.

Got into the water and trolled a herring on a double hook rig on a 3 way to the end of the wall and back for nada.

Trolled back up the wall and back w/ a rapala for nada.

Few fishermen along the jetty wall - nada.

There's some baitfish in the water, but not much else.

Got blown off the water by 1am.

Elric,

There are a lot of spots around alameda where you can make bait in 20 minutes for a day of fishing. I often do this before heading out to berkeley pier or any other spot I wish to soak live bait. Usually best to make bait when the waters up. Email me for specifics.

My other recomendation is to troll with a three way rig but instead of a sinker use a 7" fatbait swimbait on a 3-4oz head. If you don't have live bait then use a  X-rap or other type of jerkbait on the trailer line. This puts two lures in the strike zone.
