I contacted a friend with extensive sail making experience to help me do a custom spray skirt for my SIK to peddle conversion. He mentioned he wished to sell a Pygmy kayak SIK kit he purchased 15 years ago. Everything in original packing and perfectly cared for. 17.5 foot length 23 inches beam 39 pounds finished weight. Current kit price is around $1,500.00. He wants $500.00. I'm tempted to build another Mirage drive SIK with this kit. A build from ground up using the drive would be easier than a conversion of a fully built out paddle yak to pedal. It would also be a fantastic paddle yak. The design has a good rep among the paddle community. If interested call Pete Stuart at 707 874 1154
He lives in Occidental, Sonoma County.

Probably nice wood, too, from 15 years ago.

Those are beautiful boats. I've considered building one as a winter project.

Saw an arctic tern model built-out at a garage sale 6 or so months ago.  Really gorgeous boat, and silly-lightweight.
14' Necky Dolphin, fast and wiggly, no room for anything.
Old Mitchell reel junkie.
