has anyone been out crabbing lately in crescent city or trididad.  I just got my fish finder installed in my PA 14, and looking to hook up with someone next week to take it out on its maiden voyage in the salt.

Hey  Mugginsville
I'm a fellow Siskiyou County Kayak fisherman. I crab Crescent City often at the mouth of the harbor by yak. Always do well. I use danialsons with bait jars of squid and sometimes will clip some chicken  on with a bait clip.  I was last there the end of Feb and we slammed the bugs.Herring should be there now in force. Its shallow there 40 feet tops. If your up this way  lets try some local stuff... Mcloud...Orr... shasta. Not many kayak fisherman up here I know.
