What's up NCKA?

Just FYI... The firm I work for is looking to hire an environmental engineer or geologist with 1-4 years of experience in remediation work. We're having a surprisingly hard time finding qualified applicants through the usual channels (head hunters, Craigslist, etc), so I figured I'd widen the search.

The firm is located in Walnut Creek. Competitive salary, paid vacation, good benefits, etc, etc.

If you or anyone you know is looking for an engineering or geo position, please let me know!

Cheers,

Alex

Sounds like your best bet is to contact nearby colleges and look for students in this field of study preparing to graduate.  I have a strong feeling that you will find candidates on both ends of the spectrum; fresh out of school or highly seasoned pro's.

I'd be happy to hire and train a fresh graduate, but my superiors are less thrilled with the idea.

It's an interesting market right now. I think a lot of people are scared to change jobs while the economy is still recovering.

Fishcomb,

Here's a link to the Craigslist ad posted by our head hunter:

http://monterey.craigslist.org/egr/4941374171.html

Don't ask me why he posted it in the Monterey Craigslist...

The company is Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises (OTIE.com) and we're located in Walnut Creek.

Cheers,

Alex

Followed up with my friend.  She is currently at the Grand Canyon and is heading towards Alaska.  She will be returning to the workforce next year...so, sorry.  No help here.
