I just read the ausie regs for the giggles. There is a zone that is open 1st Sunday of the month for a five month stretch, from 7am-8am only.

So there's that.
Ah good. What might be the reason for "that" ?

Anyways I was not driving at "that" when I wrote: be careful of what you ask for you might just get it. It was our courts jester whom said in a FMP workshop be careful of what you ask for you might just get it. The jester only gives me riddles to solve.

I responded and so did two other diving members of my family.
We supported raising daily limits to 4 and allowing additional increments of 8 to be purchased if desired. I don't understand why an specific hour of the day for starting (or finishing) matters- so why even complicate things more.

I also commented on reminding wardens that we sport divers aren't the enemy, this after a friend, who has bought licenses for a couple decades and never poached was given an expensive ticket on a technicality.

I was sad to see that after many people, including lots from this forum, contributed suggestions, this year's system seems completely unchanged from last year's. Guess they only want to pretend to listen.

And last we all supported simplifying, not complicating the whole thing. The whole process seems designed by someone behind a desk, rather than someone who has ever been buffeted around out there in ocean.
