Kayak salvage yard??

I need to replace the cracked center hatch cover on a 10+ year old X-Factor.  Are there any alternatives to buying one new for $75 from Malibu?

best chance would likely be to contact a malibu dealer to see if they had any warranty returns.

       Fiberglass and polyester resin.... or get fancy and make one out of carbon fiber / epoxy...

Malibu couldn't help me out when I lost center hatch cover.  Had to buy new one.  No biggie.  At least the new one can't fly off when I forget to latch it before I drive off!  They also wouldn't help me get a new gasket seal for the gator hatch.  Their customer service ain't so good.  But I love the xfactor.

 I think Malibu get's inundated with requests.   Under staffed. They're good people..    Maybe try getting it ( gasket ) through a dealer.?
