Sturgeon fishing in the Napa River

I'm hoping to fish near the old destroyer wreck. I noticed on the 17th my tide table shows the tide goes from 7.3 to -0.4. That's a pretty big drop. Anyone fish this area? I'm hoping for some general tips for this area. Is it better on the big or small tides? Shallow water or deeper holes? Incoming or outgoing. I hope to launch from the river trail in American Canyon.
