I watched all the videos, but fast forwarded the last one. The third video did have some descent Jackson plugs. Jim's video had great, as usual, action shots, but it also had great Jackson plugs. I'm trying to look at the video's as if I were the Marketing guy; great fishing, great action, and of course great Jackson plugs.  To me, the clear winner is ...... JIM!!!!  :smt003

Thank you guys for all the great positive feedback... Means a LOT to me!!

Think I spent almost 3 months and did 30 versions of this vid before I was satisfied...usually I make and publish a vid the same night I come home from diving so this was a whole different level for me...

Thanks again and I will for SURE let you all know once the winner is announced.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

I completely agree with the other guys.  Your video is WAY ahead of the others.  Making coffee for a whole minute of a 3 minute video?!? WTF?

I was bored with the other videos and fast forwarded.  Yours was action packed AND educational!  I appreciated your fish and kayak IDs.  Did I mention that I wasn't bored off my ass while watching it?

Your videos are an inspiration and a great way to get my water fix while I'm at work.  Keep it up and thanks for sharing them!

Well...just found out the results of the Orion Cooler Video Comp and I didn't even place in the top three.

 :smt010

Here were the winners:

1st place Michael Harris:

2nd Place Alex Tejeda:

3rd Place Michael Ernst:

Oh well....I really enjoyed the process of trying to make a video that I thought would appeal to "marketing people"...even though apparently I have no clue what they are looking for!

Thanks again everyone for the positive feedback and support!!

I thought it was awesome.

But you weren't on the yak when you shot the fish.........meaning less screen time for their product.
Also maybe not for the squeamish.

Keep up the gore buddy  :smt023

Wow! Solid work and so many nice catches. Appreciate the post over on SB, but you're right- this seems like the NCA place to be.

Hey, I also stole one of your techniques last weekend- keeping some fish on the shooting line. I was somewhat dubious thinking I might miss a tough shot or getting snagged in kelp. But kelp was really sparse and it was so much more efficient not having to unload each rockfish. I hadn't realized how much time that burns. Now if I had a giant ling thrashing around, that might be different, but I'll cross that bridge if I'm lucky enough to get there!
thanks!

Thanks Warren!!

Yeah...it can be a real time saver for sure, but there is always the chance it will backfire and throw your aim off or block your view...just depends on the day sometimes...if I'm working a school of blues/blacks and am in harvest mode for sure I will just string em on line...if I'm looking for a bigger trophy fish or something I may take the time to move em to stringer...

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words and glad you made it over here.
