We are expecting a lot of rain this weekend. Anyone have an input on whether they think it will hurt the perch fishing at all? aside from an abundance of rain that mucks everything up.

I've caught perch in the pouring rain before.

I was going to head out there this morning since I don't have much going on at work today, but it looks like the wind is starting to pick up and is forecasted to be in the high teens today.

Wanna go tomorrow?   :smt002

Friday - SSE wind around 27 kt, with gusts as high as 35 kt. Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. SW swell 17 ft at 11 seconds. Wind waves 5 to 6 ft.

I haven't witnessed a direct effect from rain on perch... they're already wet. As long as the water isn't too gnarly, and the wind stays down, it's a good day to perch fish in my humble opinion.

Always seems to do real good in the rain, especially when it doesn't come with a cold front like this one will be.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I agree that rain really only affects the fisherman.

I've noticed rough water tends to hold larger fish, too
