Might be the same guysfishing from shore I talked to at Berryessa a few weeks back.   I was trolling in my Outback and they hollered at me from shore. They were saying how great Hobies are and that they had some ST turbo fins for sale. Said their uncle had left them a Hobie and they were selling the drive And were willing to sell them for $350.  I said no thanks.

Its one of two things.the drive is either stolen or might of fished it of the bottom of some lake
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Maybe they sold the kayak with the other drive unit. Aren't those fins an upgrade?

Fins are upgrades unless you bought (your favorite pro angler) but to have the whole drive unit most people dont buy a second set when they buy a yak from the dealer.the guy I deal with at sunrise mountain sports told me he couldn't give me any significant discount on a drive unit (500 msrp) because hobie dont give them much mark up room.

Actually a bunch of hobie PA guys down south have second drives. They store them in their hatches in case the first one breaks, since the paddle is pretty useless if you get stuck out to sea without a drive.
