Hey guys I'm interested in getting into kayak fishing, mostly river and small lake fishing and need to pick your brains about good starter kayaks, I've been looking and the eagle field and steam at dicks and was wondering if anyone has any experience with that kayak. Also I'm willing to take suggestions on other kayak brands. I'm 6'3 240 lbs so it needs to be able to hold a good amount of weight. Thanks I hope to get some good information to get myself into this sport. Take care.

Welcome!  Sorry, I have no experience with the kayak you mentioned, but I know there've been discussions about kayaks for guys of your stature... I've read that the Thresher155 and Tarpon160 are nice boats for you bigger guys.

welcome to the madness! Lots to read on different yaks here. but the best way to understand what works for you is go demo lots of different yaks! that will give you the hands on knowledge to get a yak that will work for you!
