Great compilation! You had a pretty solid year with two kayak salmon. That looked like a fairly unorthodox salmon trolling setup you were using. Do you mind sharing your rig?

The downrigger is a Scotty Depthmaster with a customized boom and a fairly involved mounting bracket. It's described in excruciating detail here:

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=53335.msg600957

The DR setup is a variation on one developed by someone on the NWKA group. The best thing about it is that it's within easy reach---no need to do yoga every time I crank up the ball. The terminal tackle was just an FBR and anchovy (no flasher/dodger).

Feel free to PM me if you want any more info.

Enjoyable compilation, NM.  WTG!

Please consider upgrading your net (big salmon net) before you break our hearts by missing a big ling, halibut or salmon.

Thanks for the advice---I'll definitely do that. What do you recommend?

Great video and fishing!!! I like how you mounted the camera.  What camera?

Just the standard GoPro hero 3, plain vanilla version. It's mounted on a piece of 1/2" pvc pipe that slips into the mast hole on the Hobie. There's a pool noodle around the pvc pipe, and I also have the camera leashed to the kayak (belt and suspenders...). I'd like to get a remote, since manually switching it on with a fish on the line doesn't always go so smooth. Also, it would be fun to try some different mounting options.
