I'll be there Sunday, but not bringing the yak.  Where is a good place to try for some perch?  Just along the beach??

I will be placing pots Saturday and Sunday. In between checks I am going to walk the beach at Doran looking for some SP. Need to stay at Doran and spend time with the wife. Lots of beach to walk.

Might be into this, depending on what time we end up getting camp setup.

Never perched before, mind giving a readers' digest version of what gear'd be helpful?
Will be bringing some 10-12' surf poles to fling snares off the beach in the event the water's bigger than our comfort zones.

oh man, sounds like u all going out with the family on sunday, I think I will bring my family as well. The wife likes Doran, its a safer beach for kids. I think that surf might be a little full of NCKA members as well. I went last weekend and talked to a guy who talked about some striped bass being caught in the surf, I wont be going too too light on my tackle...

are you there now ..if so ScottV  might be there already hit em up... if not .....signs on the left  says SONOMA STATE PARK, Day fee $8

I'm assuming that isn't walkable from the campground?   :smt044

I'm carpooling up there tomorrow so I won't have a car to use.  I guess my best bet would be to fish the jetty.  If anyone else is planning on perching tomorrow instead of crabbing, give me a holler.
