Personally I don't really need to have the MPLA zones overlaid on the screen. I can get the lat lon #'s from the DFW website and figure it out on the fly. Did you get ahold of Tshombe?

Tshombe is a great guy!  Hoping to see him at the sf show this weekend.  I'll be there for Simrad & B&G (no Lowrance at the show in our booth ... Bummer).  Hanging with my buddies from Torqeedo too!

No idea what that Navionics gold chip costs, but you can load the Navionics ap onto your smart phone for something like $10. It'll show you the MPAs, and show your position.

just kidding Alex..I have seen guys with that same AP on their phones  otw and ,instantly almost gave into the smartphone/Iphone etc...and wanted one...I go through a lot of phones though..so maybe not a good idea...I am watching some chips bidding now and may snag a cheaper used/checked out one..or wait and just copy and enter the cords into my FF...thanks for the heads up..that AP is the bomb for sure...

I feel ya... I beat up my iPhone all the time; that's why it never leaves its Lifeproof case. Just this morning I managed to spill half my cup of coffee on it. No big deal. Just rinsed it off in the sink, shook it dry, and went on with my day.
