Woooo... and here I thought you just talked real fast!  hehehe

Thanks for the thought.  If I lived down there I sure would join you.  Might wanna bring an umbrella!

I typically have commitments weekdays (work stuff, grrr) but we'll see if the weather lays back down again next weekend.  However if it lays down a lot, then I may launch out of Bolinas and head south of dux.

I'll keep an eye out on the weather tomorrow for Sunday, and for your happy speedy report!

Fairly decent rain right now in Monterey 7:AM.  I am going to bail on this plan unless it clears up really soon.

Yeah....  I woke up at 6 and had the same thought...  It's a lot calmer than what was predicted, so I am hoping it's the same for tomorrow, and will be sunny/dry and warmer too.

Thanks for the info!

Well...  I don't really wanna go alone tomorrow... but Weds. looks good so far, so I will post a hookup on that if it works out.

If anyone did go out for crab this weekend, I would really like to see a report..  Thanks!

Who's up for some crab!

Craig, Ben, and anyone else that can get the time off...

I blocked Wed off my calendar and just need to know when and where.   :fish

First time messing with crab on a yak for me so this should be fun.  I'm thinking a crab only trip so if you want to paddle off and fish, I'll watch the traps.   :smt071

I walked the pacifica pier on Fri. and watched dungi after dungi come up only to be thrown back (Sat. Opener). Alot of females with eggs were thrown off the pier and "exploded" in a red mass of eggs. The pier fisherman should find a way to gently release the females without doing harm. I also agree that Linda mar is a better place to crab with no theft and decent rock fishing at the point. I've had (3) traps stollen from H.M.B. in the past.

I've only been crabbing from a boat once so I hope this isn't a silly quesiton but by "stealing" do you mean they are physically taking the pots with them or taking the crabs from inside of them?

Angel,

Usually just the crab but sometimes everything   :smt011

I am sure some have sad stories about both...

I probably won't need to overnight soak, but if I do, it will be dropping late and collecting early next day...
