Hope the wind cooperates Sat.a.m. 6ft.+ hi-tide around 10:oo then dumping to a minus.Current will be strong during the out-go.I have never launched there, but BULLHEAD FLATS parking spot will probably be doable.I plan to Hunt them STRIPERS down on the troll.
Two hrs. before HI....two hrs. after.
If the wind is UP at sunrise?....Plan B will be to hide from the wind somewhere.I know Benicia State Park, cove area(4$no wheels needed)is well protected and I have HOOKED(1-21") and SAW many breaking surface three different trips there! :smt013
There is a free launch up the street(minutes up the straight)that will probably put you in deeper water if needed.
Any other IDEAS or HOT-SPOTS?....Have time, will travel!

Afternoon weather update for fri: Calm Bay w/light winds=PLAN "A" in effect
Meet at BULLHEAD FLATS plan to be in water at 8:oo  for directions:google/yahoo China Camp State Park.  bullhead flats is a short drive NORTH of china camp parking area.Lot is on right side of road, before the marsh area begins.

SELF PAY $4.00 lot

Hey Adam, if its rael windy, go for Black Point, you can get on the lee side of the bridge towers, they are huge windbreakers with  stripers. Of course you have to paddle a good 50 feet to get to them! If its rainy, I love this place cause its an umbrella thats bigger than a football feild.
Also the rr trestle acts as a good windbreak. Place has got sea monsters.

Backslider,

Always wear a wetsuit.....if you get toss in the water, even if you waders are leak tight with a wader belt.  It will still drag you down like an anchor.  Only, place I would wear waders is on a lake.  Also, have a jacket that is wind proof because the wind just goes thought the neoprene.
