Lowrance Elite 4 not working

Under 10 feet and 83mhz. It's not recognizing the bottom like it's over penetrating it.

83 is ideally for water over 80/100'.  Did 200 work?

Yes 200 works.  I figured 83 was for shallower water because it's a wider cone? It randomly goes solid in deep water once or twice a trip too on the 83 setting. It's a different error than when I'm in shallow water.

200 shallow, 50 or 83 deep.

I tried the things listed above and it doesn't work. I checked the harness because I didn't check for the negative voltage and I had it so its not the harness 😥 I'm gonna stop at bass pro after work and see I ended up purchasing a extended warranty when I bought it. If not I'll contact lowrance to see if they can help me out. Sucks. Feels like I didn't get my money out of it in using it.

Call Lowrance.  They should help you out.  If not, drop me s PM & I may have one to exchange you with.

I emailed Lowrance back and told them it was the unit. I guess I didn't buy the extended warranty because I wasn't in their computer system. I'll let you know what the rep says bill
