All season at Mendo I watched from the water and could see a new trail going in on the east side of the lake.  I called the ranger station to see what was up.  As it turns out this group...http://www.mendotrails.org/ had hired an old friend of mine from Marin to layout and build a few single tracks for multiple use.

I used to be a singletrack junkie, and Jim Jacobsens trails are some of the finest around.  He built all of the singletrack trails at China Camp and the "Boy Scout Camp".

I hiked part of them last week with Leah, which motivated me to dust off the MTB and give it a go.  The trails were as I expected...OUTSTANDING!!  But man a I out of shape!!! :fat.  We did about 10 miles and I was shot.  I will definitely go back andtake pics next time.  Anyways, if go up and camp, bring your bike too.

That's great news Sean....just another reason to spend a weekend at Mendo. My MTB has been collecting dust and been "home" to a few spiders :smt011 Looking forward to giving it a go :smt007

Sean, we need to get a few MTB guys and head over to:  http://www.yubaexpeditions.com/downieville/downieville.html
I've ridden these trails in the past (4 years in a row) and it was EPIC  :smt002

I also brought my kayak and fished the higher elevation lakes and caught come nice wild rainbows. If there's enough interest, I'd gladly get the ball rolling. I know SteveS, Chuck,Jdyak,Sturgy and guitarzan would be interested  :smt002
