Bagged the sturgie try, to go look for perch off stinson. Met up with a buddy from work.  We worked the N side of the beach pretty hard-and it was slow.
total 5 fish, 2 for him, there for me (after a slow start)--one dink, 3 in the 12" range, and one whopper- biggest perch i've gotten in a long time- maybe 15-16" ( i thought it was a striper at first).
All on motor oil/red flake

There is basically zero structure on the beach right now, but the waves were pounding, so that will change fast.

SteveS were you anywhere close to Bolinas?

I might get out to hear the fat lady sing out the salmon season tomorrow and I'm wondering how the beach break is at the moment

maybe Muir is as good a bet

I went as far as the lagoon exit.  It was UGLY.... smallish sets then a big, big set.  We fished that area for a while- and i have to tell you, the bigger sets didn't seem to be in any pattern.  Add to that we could see breakers on the reef- way way along the reef.

Close to shore it was probably fine, and behind the point ok- but once outside--sheep everywhere.

I was there at Muir about 2 weeks ago.  Definitely an easier access than Stinson, but the sea weeds were a big problem.
