Hey guys. I've been living in San Diego the past couple of years and am in West Sac for the holidays. I wasn't able to bring my kayak on this trip and my family is new to the area (recently moved from the East Bay Area) so we're looking for a close spot to get our lines wet. My dad has a little 10' skiff that both of us can squeeze onto and lives in close proximity to the deep water channel near Washington Lake.
Does anybody know if the the boat launch off of Boathouse Rd is accessible to the public or if there is one in the area that we can hand launch from if need be into the deep water channel?
Any insight will be appreciated.

Barge canal access off of Jefferson. We all launch our kayaks there. It is a ways to the deep water channel, but there are plenty of fish long before that.

Thank you, sir. We checked it out today and looks like an easy launch. We'll have to make some DIY wheels tomorrow to wheel the boat down there. We're looking forward to some long overdue father-son time OTW.
