Started at 8am.  a little rain and started to get windy around 10am.  Got 2 trout back to back.  Anchored at the swim area with green power bait.  First one was a 18" 3.1 lbs and the second was a little 13" 14oz. Left at noon.

Nice catch Ken, how did that fat one fight? it's so fat it looks like it could hardly move. Tasty ? white or pink meat?

Mick,

Using 6 lb test and 4 lb leader.  On a yak you can play them as long as you want.  Shore guys have to worry about snags.  It takes a while but that is part of the game.  It is fun and a challenge.  Some of my long range friends asked me why do you fish for trout.  I says "you match the hatch" and you will have for hands full.

They are white meat and I used to think white meat was bad.  But, if you blinded folded someone and gave them some red or org meat trout and these.  I don't think they could pick which one was which.

Jmairey,

Looks like nothing for Nov.  If you go to http://www.dfg.ca.gov/fishplant/index.html it will give the lastest fish plants.
