Launched this morning out at Nick's Cove and headed towards Hog Island.  This was more or less to test my new FF rather than fish but I did soak some bait trying to entice a Ray or Leopard to bite.  Was out for a few hours, wind wasn't to bad and the water was decent.  No fish on board today, had to get back home in time to watch the football game.

Hey Matt, If you want to fish Tomales Bay for Halibut in the summer let me know I will be there FO SHO!!! Also you should have anchored up by the mouth of Walker Creek or Paper Mill Creek and soaked some Ghost Shrimp, possibilities of many good species other than boring old Bat Rays and Leopards :smt001

Hey Dave,

That would be awesome! I haven't explored much of tomales, atleast not from my kayak.  Today was more or less just to get out and test out my new FF setup.  Thanks for the advise and hopefully we can meet up soon for a trip!

What other species could you catch? I kayak fished tomales this summer only for a few bay rays. Tried trolling a dodger set up for Hali but there was to much debris.
