Anyone know good property management companies in Oakland?  My relatives have some property there and they would like to find a good manager. 

Or if you are a property manager, I'd like to pick your brain about some aspects.

Here are a few tips. If you need more help feel free to reach out. I will ask around with some business partners in the Bay to see if the have any references.

Make sure that there are no hidden dangers in your property management
contracts.
1.    Hidden Listing agreements.
2.    Make sure you only pay the management company one time annually for
placing a tenant in the property.  If they did not get it right the first
time they need to do the re-rental on their nickel. 
3.    Make sure that there is no exclusion for you to use your own
contractors to do the repairs.
4.    Make sure that you can exit the agreement with a 30 day written
notice.
5.    Be sure to get a written expense sheet for their services. 
6.    Be sure to read the entire contract carefully.  Do not agree to
anything that will tie your hands.  Remember you are the customer and they need to serve you.
