Not sure if this the correct category but wanted to know if the new chirp transducer combo will fit the Lowrance opening on a Hobie. Hummingbird helix,  the 5" inch duel frequency unit for $369.00 or so.

Not for me. I already have the HDS-7 Gen 2. Its for my friend who saw the ad for under $400.00 for a Helix sounder with transducer

There is an Elite 5 HDI with the 50/200 HDI transducer for $320 out the door!

I think the Lowrance 5" is priced right but the Hummingbird offers the duel frequency which is similar to the Lowrance chirp.

I dont know about the model your looking at but my 597ci hd di ducer fits the new pro angler but you have to buy the adapter to fit the hummingbird
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
