Thanks Again All for the Birthday Wishes . You all Rock :headbang:

On my birthday i wanted to see if i could get a picture of myself with 50 Barred Surfperch.  I only got 5. Albeycor (Robert) and Bulldog---Alex, Joined me on the trek for the hunt. We got to the first hole north of the trail head, which is called Marina Dunes. Albeycor scored the first, second, and third one. Bulldog---Alex hooks up, which was his first fish from the surf in a long time. We all got excited cause we thought it was BSP. We see color, its long and slender, could it be a StripeBass!? NO… it was a Jacksmelt! :smileinbox:

After an hour goes by I haven't caught a thing yet. So I head north towards the sand plant to look for the honey hole. Twenty minutes later I spot the right conditions for potential perch feeding. I take my cast and first one in the bucket. I take my second/third and get two more. Then it just died out, so I continued on to the next hole.
By that time it was around noon and called it a day.

Here's some pics from day one.

Day 2

Same Cruew + trianglelaguna (Craig) joins us at the MDC Perch hunt Lots of fisherpeople and lots of BSP! The beach structure was just perfect. This time. Limits for all. I think Craig came up short. I'll let the other boys chime in if they like. Heres the pic of the fish…my best 15"

Dang I missed it this morning due to flooding at work.  Those conditions looked awesome.

But, I got some fishing in this afternoon at Sandollar Beach.  Not "all-time" but I got 6, biggest about 12" fished un tip dark, in the rain.  Never happier.

Thought I had a big one on.  It was stripping line, I had to tighten my drag.  Turned out I hooked near the tail after it tapped my grub.  that was my 12"er.

Thhis year is starting out pretty darn good for perchin!
