Arrived and though everyone must be around the corner.......

Met a guy named Albert who said he hadn't seen any others.  The two of us headed out to 50' and drifted for 'buts with no luck.  Moved closer to the pont and I picked up a couple of lings, 18" and 24", that went back.  Albert caught and released a nice 3lb rockfish.  Headed back to the beach for bait and bumped into Kevin.  We all tried the north end for a bit but nada for all.

Going for clams tomorrow.

Nice day on the water despite no fish to catch.  I got a very late start but decided to launch and troll for stripers near the shore break.

I marked large bait balls and fish near the north end of the cove. Trolled and jigged around it w/o a bite.  The water was nice with little wind for most of the day.

A kayaker got rolled by a rogue wave on the north end of the cove.  Need to be careful when trolling so near the break, especially near the rocks.  After resting on the shore, he paddled back out.  Fortunately not injured and minimal gear lost.

I got such a late start, I wasn't sure how long I had on the water.  I was a bit worried about having to make a speedy exit so I didn't want to bother with a trap.

We saw a couple of guys on Surfski's (looks like a huge surf board) with traps paddling out in the late morning.
