Was thinking about ordering a camo suit... 7mm. Looking at mako open cell wetsuits for comfort. My wetsuits for surfing are M, im 6'2'' 180 and dont know if i should get ML or L. Are they good suits? are they warm?

I'd go with a Large, for sure. if you are wide across the chest, an XL may be the way. Order the L and they are good about exchanges if you need another size.

I'm 6'3" 195 and use a Large. It will be short on you, but the width will fit well, which is what matters.

I had a 7mm L, fits fine with the farmer's john top but it's too warm. Now I have a 7mm ML with the top cut and it fits perfect. It still gets pretty warm and I have to let water in from time to time.

I got a mako wetsuit a couple months ago and damn I was burning up whenever I was on the kayak. Its a 7mm and all I wanted to do was get in the water to cool down. Justykit I was thinking of cutting like you had since I was too hot. Where did you end up cutting? Just above belly button?

I cut it about 1" above the seam. Here's instruction from mako. It's still quite warm so I open up my neck and thigh areas from time to time to let water in.

HIGH WAIST BOTTOMS OR FARMER JOHNS?
High Waist Bottons or Farmer Johns? You decide. Each suit comes with the “Farmer John Bottoms” for added warmth. However, if you prefer the “High Waist Pants”, no problem. We deliberately placed the upper seam in the appropriate spot to allow you, the diver to remove the shoulder straps by following (cutting) just above the strategically placed seam for a perfect and professional looking cut that will not fray. But, don’t throw away the newly created tank top. You might want to save it for a chilly day.

Went with the L, good news! I can't stand being cold or having the chills. Also added the mako freehunter fins, they look stiff but good for shore and shallow stuff.

I had my dive buddy cut my top off my pants about 3" above the stitching while I had it on right before my 3rd dive on it.
Man what a difference losing the top to the farmer johns makes.
I can breathe and move around so much better.
I still am hot in it.
Some times I leave the tail unhooked to take in water.
I really dig the suit and as cheap as it is I might just get another one in 5mm hunt with.
