All,

So, I had been unable to unload my GTS sport seat here, and I was too lazy to really make an effort beyond a single Craig's list post.

I also have been struggling with the fact that my current PFD sucks and I don't wear it due to incompatability with the back pad of the pfd and my seat.

Neither thing was good.  I was trying to sell the extra seat so I could get money to buy a new pfd that I would actually wear and be comfortable with on my yak.

Well, some little bell rang in my head and I called kayak connection.

Me: "Yo, I have this brand new kayak seat, can I trade it for store credit?"

Them: "Sure, come on down"

Duh!  I can't believe it took me this long.  I boogied over there and got a nice MTI sports Dorado PFD with the mesh back and lots of pockets and extras (I really think this is a good pfd) and a dry bag in trade for the seat.

We both got a good deal.  I got rid of my seat and got a great pfd and dry bag (which is what I really wanted and needed), and they got higher value merchandise in return for the merchandise they gave me.  We all left the deal happy.

Now my wife (and my inner voice) will get off my back about not wearing my pfd in lakes.  It is a little bulky in front, but that is to be expected for a mesh back pfd.  It has large pockets with pockets and key holders and a nifty zipper retainer and a plier pocket and a radio attachment point.  I'm very happy.

Now to go fishing.

I could never say enough good things about Mark & Margeret's shop. I worked for them for two or three summers, and their business is a reflection of themselves. Right on!
And, nice PFD I might add.

Good shop, good staff, good owners. I only wish the fishign ther  was as good as it was at Montereey Bay State beach at Delmonte and that the parking and teh paunch was as easy. Its a real PITA. Capitola is even worse. A shame really.

Glad things worked out Chris. It's amazing how much void there is between my two ears
