Abalone Art

Becky got busy with a few of my shells.
She taped the holes from the outside then filled them with hot glue so no wax would drip out.
Looks and works GREAT.

   Wall hanging.     Used to have an Orchid growing in it... 

          This is better,  I don't have to feed the fish

Becky had some left over candles. She put them all in a big zip lock baggie then put the baggie in some hot water to melt them all together.
Plug the holes on the bottom with hot glue.
Make sure you get a shell that doesn't have a lot of 'roll' to it....learned that the hard way.
Makes pouring the wax a whole lot easier...and cleaner.
Still have the Mooch succulent in the garden and it's doing great.
