No I think this message is meant to say stop snagging bass with treble hooks.im sure no one here do it but every now and then at large get togethers I hear of some no skill idiot doing it.then I get into a debate with someone that I'll probably never see or rarely see again on how its unethical snagging fish any type of fish.I tell them if your gonna do that go to the dam market and buy the fish and you dont have to worry about getting caught doing it.then its well the fish are bigger.im like your just a dumbass and im done trying to talk any sense into you

It's pretty damn hard to snag a bass. Occasionally they attack a bait and miss and get the hook in the side of their head. Or start it with one hook in mouth and the other one ends up out side mouth. Not really snags.

Honestly, I have done it to a few, not all, but a few.
The action on some changed too much I believed so I changed it back.

As all of my LMB and Spot bass catches are CNR I think it's not a bad idea.

I do at least get rid of the barbs. Learned that the hard way at Rollins last spring.

I fish plastics barbless a lot unless for a tournament. They swallow those a lot and it makes it easy to get hook out.

you've never seen a bedding bass like say a 5 lb'er have it constantly hovering in one spot.now imagine a guy pull up to walk up to it with a 1/0 treble hook with 60 lb braid on a heavy action rod, now that fish might move but its not gonna move very far and come back.with a treble hook that size its not gonna be very hard.now from the debates that I had with some of theses guys they got enough practice so its not very hard for them

People actually do that.....and then defend it?!?!

Wtf.....you're gonna toss it back anyway, what the hell is the point?

Ps....Ed......that's the first thing I thought of too.   All about the bass....no treble!
