I'm thinking about having a weekend campout with some friends in November. Anyone had any experience with the boat-in sites? Also, where should I drop pots for crabs? Any fish to be had, even if its just bat rays? Any advice will be appreciated, thanks!

Boat-in camping sites are adjacent to good crab spots. Target sandy holes - a decent depth sounder is very usefull. Be ready to be harrassed by racoons at night. Get your fire permit, and don't pitch tent too close to shore to avoid tidal flooding. Have fun - it's great out there.

It was a few years ago, and we weren't camping, but during the day we stopped, and a coyote came walking down the beach towards us, looking for a handout? I don't know but thought it worth mentioning.

Sounds like a neat trip,

I was blown away by the beauty of that area when I was up there earlier this year.  :smt007

We saw big herds of Elk on the hillsides as well!!

Saw a ton of dungies while diving ...and managed to find a few fish as well...

Looks to me like it's still worth bringing the fishing poles.  :smt002
