I was hoping that you seasoned Yakkers could give me some ideas on what would be the best place to go Kayaking and Fishing that we could also camp this Sunday-Tuesday. 10/22-10/24.

I would appreciate any info you can give me.

Thanks

There are lots of places in the places to fish and camp section.  One of my favorites is Salt Point in the fall as long as the weather holds.  There are also several other nearby places to fish that I have yet to explore.

Hi Mary,
Vic and I often go camping and fishing in Caspar.  I am not sure where you guys are and how far you want to travel - but Caspar is in between Mendocino and Ft Bragg.  We launch off Caspar Beach which is right infront of the RV park.  It is an easy launch if the weather co-operates, and an easy paddle to the reef and kelp. We have caught plenty rock fish here as well as ling and cabezon.   Added advantage - if weather is bad, great eateries in Mendo. :smt003

I like Ocean cove, good access, good fishing, awesome hiking, cheap and great views. Van Damm and Girstle cove are good too, a few bucks more but its still camping. All in Salt Point, I believe. Ben
