Last year Headwaters hosted the 2014 American River fish and cleanup, we had planned to do it again this year, but with the poor AR salmon season expected, and the Fish N Cleanup right on the heels of the American River Cleanup I am looking for alternate locations for this year's event.

I have a location in the Delta that could sure use a scouring with possibilities for striper, crappie, bass and sturgeon. The event permit would be a piece of cake for this one too.

If you would like to suggest a spot I prefer that it is somewhere in the greater sacramento area, and is a spot that is in need of a cleanup day.

West Sac Barge Canal Access for fall stripers.  But that would be like November or December.   :cold

I prefer to have it near Halloween.

I'm down for either nunya slough or the canal.  Henry might be with me tho... so maybe the barge canal would be better.

I'm leaning toward Nunya slough, but I gotta check with some of the regulars to see if they mind me busting their sturgeon honey hole for a good cause.

Oct 12th looks like the best weekend tide, but that's the mooch memorial. 26th looks alright too.

This gets a really good clean up in December when they have the FreshKATS tourney.
