Is there a best location for transducer as far as foward and back?
I have it mounted in hull but had it in front and would go crazy when coming over swell due to front coming off water.
I now have it right below me in middle. Just wondering if location makes a difference.

best locaton is centered below the cockpit area. this will be the last area to come out of the water and give you the best refrence to the bottom. Sounds like you already figured it out ... Great Job ;0)
