Got an early start today, cruise under the GG Bridge around 0545 and it was still dark. This was the fist time I did it with the 17' Montauk. It was a beautiful morning and We are so lucky to live in a place where people paid thousands of dollars to come and see.

As for the fishing, it was a fruitful day out there. Dropped the line in around 0700 just outside Rocky Point in 70' of h2o and trolled towards The can, About a mile from the can I got the first solid take down and this fish was taking line. Got him to turn and 3 minutes later he was in the net. Green RSK/Red Sling blade with Anchovie 35' OTW. This fish measure out at 32"

Dropped back down and work the same area for 30 minutes with no other take down. Headed outside the can and tack south towards the fleet, just before the fleet I got another solid take down. This fish was taking line and it seems like he does not want anything to do with me. Finally tired him out and brought him next to the boat and it was an easy net job for me because he was belly up. 90' of h20 65' OTW same setup. This beast measure out at 35". I was done by 0930 and back at the dock by 1030. I even took the wife out for breakfast after I put the boat away. You know that is a good day when you are able to do that.

Saw quite a few kayaks out there by the green can, tried hail them on 69 but no answer.

Awesome, Freddie!  Way to get it done on your Montauk - that's a nice boat.  Loved my Dad's Whaler.  Gotta love the late season salmon fishing.   :smt001
