Love mine. Best I have had on. With that said, as long as you have one on I would call it the best one to use.

Whichever one fits you best and is most comfortable to paddle in, does not impede or alter your natural stroke movement.

One that has a spot to lash on your radio that is convenient and does not interfere with paddling or landing fish.

A model that has the kind of storage pockets (or not) that you prefer.

Try a bunch on to see. Kokatat, Stohlquist, NRS, Extrasport to name a few.

+1 The Cordura material prevents hooks from getting snagged.

Definitely this.

An uncomfortable PFD can totally ruin your whole experience. I use a cheap Extrasport that I've had forever and prefer it over any of the new high-back, bulky pocketed models I've recently tried.

Also - If you have a high-back seat the new high-back PFDs tend to rest right on the top of the seat.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

So true, regardless of what you get make sure it is something you will wear.
