Went to San Luis Forebay on Fri. around 12 noon.  Got 6 stripers (5 were legal).  Kept the first two (22" and 20"). Got two LMB 12 1/2" and 15 1/2".

Will be at Topaz and lakes around there from wed to sunday this week.

Did you catch them trolling? What was the weather like?

Bill,

I never got the Yak on the water.  All from shore and they release at least 10 feet then I was there.  Stayed until 7:30 to 8 am.  Just to see if anyone was going to show.  Kevin, Fred and John were suppose to show.

Ken-
Good to hear that you hooked up this weekend. Sorry, I didn't make the trip down. I wasn't even able to answer the bell in the morning. My back and shoulder was so stiff... wussy excuse, but, I thought it best to sit this one out. Good luck to you at Topaz.

Thanks Fred,

The forebay dropped like ten feet when I was there.  Had 600 yrds of power pro 30 or 35 lb. test on one rod and only 20 lb. mono on the other.  I casted the mono in the morning and I was 100 to 150 yrds away from shore when the line ended.

I guess I need two reel with power pro.  I also, need to scout out a deeper spot to fish.

We (Jeff and I) will be fishing Twin or Blue or Virginia lades before the Topaz opener.
