Hey y'all, name Wess and I'm an avid fisherman. Mainly black bass, but am up for whatever. I am in the U.S. Coast Guard and am stationed in Rio Vista. So I am on the water A TON!!

I currently borrow my buddy's kayak because I haven't figured out what I want yet. So any recommendations would be great. I will use the search function to find reviews, but help would be appreciated.

Another Coastie on the boards!  I'm an ET1 over at te TRACEN. Plenty of bass fishing to be done from kayaks in the Delta.  Get hooked up with the Delta Kayak Bass Series guys if you want some tournament fun.  I believe next years season/series is going to start in February.

Can't go wrong with a pedal yak.  Make sure to demo though in the same conditions you plan on fishing.  Reverse may sound great in a brochure but if you like fishing grass like I do it can be more of a hindrance than a helpful feature.  I'm currently pedaling a 2012 Hobie Pro Angler 14 and love it!  I fish bass as well as saltwater and have been fishing tourneys on both from coast to coast from the kayak for the past four years.  It's a great way to get out on the water!

Yah the pics are from the lake in Green Valley. It's pretty dang big so there's a lot of water to cover. I have a couple secret ponds as well but that's just bank fishing.

Sweet deal. MK2 here. I have a C school coming up next month at Petaluma. We'll have to do lunch or something.

Yah I know reverse won't work for what I want to do. Most likely will go Hobie, but the cost is scary.

When you come for school hit me up and definitely bring bass rods.  There's a pond on base with some nice fish in it.
