Left Alameda around 0615, smooth ride all the way out to the middle ground. Dropped in and trolled towards Duxbury buoy. Hooked first fish around 11:15 in 85' of h2o, 60' OTW with Anchovie with green FBR and green sling blade. Hooked the go home fish around 11:45 around the same area. Both fish were caught about half mile south of the buoy. Lots of boat out there and pretty rough at Bonita channel on the way back.

Fiver, it was tough out there, did not see too many nets moving on other boats. Just got lucky been at the right place at the right time. I guess that's why they call it fishing.

Thanks for the report. Glad SOMEONE caught some fish yesterday.

This year has been tough for me on the chrome front... I'm still trying to get the skunk off my yak after more than a few solid attempts.

AlexB, I was just lucky. Were you able to get out there yesterday. I heard someone called out to a kayaker on channel 19 but I did not see any kayak there yesterday. I got on the radio and told them to call the kayaker on channel 69.

Freddie you got salmon in your blood bro!  We should call you the salmon sniffer.  Maybe I should follow you in my PB if only I could get the nerve to take it out the gate.

I worked hard on those 2 fish. I usually look for baitballs and work them utilizing different lure/bait and depth and keep at it.

Yeah, I was out there with the fleet around Dux/Rocky Point yesterday. My launch and landing were uneventful, but it definitely took some patience to find the right lull.

I was having issues with my radio for about half the day. After a handful of radio checks on both 69 and 19, a friendly boater pulled up near me and said others could hear me, I just wasn't hearing their replies. Then out of nowhere my radio started working again later in the day.... Not exactly confidence inspiring.

Might be time to take my radio back to West Marine... Not sure if it's still under warrantee.
