Hi All,
New to this board.
I went to Ocean Cove twice in the last week.  I am hooked! First time kayak fishing in NorCal.    I grew up fishing in SoCal (Catalina Is. etc). NorCal fishing is way better than down south.

Any other suggestions for launch places south of Ocean Cove and north of Bodega. I live in the foothills in the Placerville area.  I leave my house at 3AM. If I could launch a bit closer, that would help me.

Thanks,
Cliff

The other launch spots near Ocean Cove would not save more than a few minutes of travel time. Ft Ross, then Timber Cove, then Stillwater Cove.

Charles,
Thanks for the response. Among  Ft. Ross, Timber Cove and Stillwater, do you have a preference?

Hi Cliff
well, you struck gold. Ocean Cove is an amazing place. Like said above, the coves south will only save you a few minutes. I too live in the foothills,  the drive is just part of the deal. Now get back out there!

Welcome to the madness Cliff  :smt006  Timber Cove is also another place easy to launch and good place to fish.

Easiest launch is Timber. Stillwater is free but some effort required to launch, same as Ft Ross. Fishing is pretty much the same from the Fort to Salt Point.
