Sunday 8/17 GG Salmon Limit (Non Yak)

Solo run from Alameda around 0600 destine for the north side. Arrived just outside Muir beach and dropped the line in. Trolled towards Duxbury buoy. I trolled passed the buoy about a mile and a half and decided to turned around. No hit at all so decided to pickup and run back where I started.

About a mile passed the Dux buoy, I started marking huge baitballs so decided to drop in and within 15 minutes I got a take down and finally got him in the net. Rebaited and dropped back down and within 20 minutes, I got the go home fish in the net. I was done around 1145.

Both fish were caught on the Anchovie on green FBR with the green sling blade/60' on the wire in 80' of h2o.

Saw 2 kayakers outside by Muir.beach in the morning, hailed them on channel 69 but no answer. Drove by them and I noticed both of them don't have any pfd. One guy only had a farmer john wetsuit and one guy had a fleece jacket on. All I can say is wow.

No comment on the yakkers -- as the saying goes: if ya can't say anything nice . . .

What I keep seeing here is a lot of wild salmon being caught as well as "raised." Must be a lot of food off the coast to bring all these guys in from parts unknown.
