Hey Mike, what's the best way to deliver some gear to you? If you're coming to the PIF on 8/17, I could hand off a wetsuit, booties, and tackle.

Do you still need a conventional pole and jigmaster reel with a spool full of 50 lb  braid...let me know...it's yours now
same as Pat ,I can have it @ the 8/17 PIF or if anyone attending can hand it off ,that could work too

That's awesome guys! I'm planning on going to PIF this year, I missed it last year and was bummed. If plans change I will let you know, thanks again!

ps - I'll try to get Tim to go at least for the day, I know he needs some therapy for sure.

I have a nice Shimano Clarus Rod that I would like to give Tim if he wants it...it is on the lighter side, but I have fought and caught some big Lings with it and I think it is a ton of fun fishing the salt with lighter tackle.

 :smt001

It has a spinning reel on it that is kinda gummed up, but he may be able to clean it up and salvage it and/or just put a different reel on it...

Here is the little rod in action taking my Hook and Line PB 36 inch Ling:

I'll bring it to PIF.

I have an extra HawgTrough as well if he needs one? Just let me know..

Thanks Mike for doing this, and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Tim...

Sincerely,

Jim

BigJim that rod will make a nice set up and I am giving him a super heavy ugly stick with conventional reel too...he will have both to get fishing again!!! that rod of yours and the stick will make a nice selection/ team!!!

I just got a p.m and will bring my Rod and reel to PIF...beats sitting in a closet or loaning to my loser buddies.. :smt005

Jim, he'll love that, Shimano Clarus Rods are great! With both setups he'll be ready for sure. I picked up a couple NCKA HawgTroughs from Allen, so he's good. Thanks guys.

Cool!

I also got an extra gaff and beat stick in the shed I think...I'll bring the rod and whatever other stuff I see in the shed down to PIF and if he doesn't need it, it can just stay in my truck....I really don't use my hook and line stuff very much anymore so would rather see it go to a good home than just sit around....

anyone have any drag washers for a penn 500..and know how to toss em into the reel I'm bringing to P.I.F
The reel is super cool but takes a firm hand to get the star drag to it's harder settings...
I was gonna get to it later
but this passing of the item got ahead of me

any help or ideas would be great---if not it works fine-I've fished it

I have a nice soft sided Shimano tackle bag that I will bring for him as well to keep his tackle and goodies organized.

I haven't used it in years, only used it a few times going out on skiffs/fishing from the pier, and I checked it out last night and it is still in great shape.  :smt004

I also will bring a floating gaff and fish bonker for him.  :smt003

See you guys soon!

Here's a pic of the bag...the clarus rod/reel and gaff and bonker are somewhere in that pile as well.
