The tournament was my first time seeing the bridge, and the first thing I thought was "Damn, that thing looks pretty sketchy"
Sounds like it might not be around for all that long.

Would have been cool if the photo in the article was taken during the Albion Open weekend with the campground inundated with kayaks.

As for the bridge, safety first.

Hey Craig, why haven't you incorporated the bridge into the Albion Open logo for the shirts?   :smt115

That bridge is AWESOME and I would hate to see it go. However, if its not safe, I'm ok with replacing it :smt010.

Nothing wrong with that bridge. It has a fresh coat of paint.

The "11" of 2011 should be incorporated into the logo as part of the upright structure of the bridge!

So I suppose that means they would have to close the campground when construction for the new bridge starts in 2017.   :smt012

Not sure about closure. They closed one of the launch ramps in noyo at the height of Salmon season for dock repairs.  Pissed a lot of boaters off. So if they close it I am sure it will be at the worst possible time.
