Lost rod

x10 on the float tubes...I taper mine on each end with a sharp knife and use three or four wraps of gorilla tape every 2-3 inches,to reduces dia.
I took them off last season to clean the rods and did not put them back on at the start of this season-never dropped a rod before etc
two rods in one day-may buddy tipped and i knocked one out of a rear holder----now floatty on  everything...even my tackle box...which I also dropped and half floated then sank before I could get to it

my bait knifes also got drilled handles and braid to the the vest....everything is ready for a swim

I also put a spare diving mask in my car for inshore recovery

if I had the mask when I dropped my rod it would have saved me 140+
I went back the next day with snorkel gear but the waves had long moved or/covered the rod in 15 fow
