Just too damn cool not to share with everyone

Functions similar to the Sierra Stove.  Uses an electric fan to fan a wood fire.  Great unless you are camping in an area closed to open fires, allowing only fossil fuel stoves, due to high fire danger potential.

Cool, but too small and pricey for me.
I'll stick to my pit and and halfie grill.

I bet they'll sell a lot of them.  I could see that on a longer trip, where you're away from the grid for a while.  Keep you mobile/camera charged.  I think I go for the smaller one, though.  Seems like if you're in the position to be cooking eight burgers at a time, you're not gonna be far from civilization--and a charger.

I'm still stoked about my soda can alcohol burning stove that cost me about 50 cents to make.

It is for people who never go camping in the woods far away from civilization, e.g. without cellphone reception. I doubt many in the 3rd world will shell out $300 for a wood burning stove. And why stick a USB powered light on a stove to see what you are cooking when you can see it just fine with the ambient light from an open cooking fire?

yea it is pricey as hell but the technology to power something from burning wood is to cool. It is something that could be useful when all hell breaks loose and you need to live off the grid!
