So, being a T-160 paddler, I was looking through youtube about them, and I came up with this.  Look at all the stuff on this boat!

I'm not a gear nut.  I still run my rod under my leg more often than not, even though I have a rod holder.  I can't imagine doing this to a kayak, but I'd like to hear what others think--especially the gear heads.  What am I not getting here?

Sandwich looks useful :smt003 ......all that other crap would not work in the ocean (or bay) around here. The heavy anchor up front seems really silly my 160 wants to submarine every time I go head on with a small wave and I end up with a waterfall in my lap, anyone add a wave deflector to their Tarpon yet?

This is a fast boat but very wet and a little unstable compared with most other fishing yaks also at 350# the weight capacity is small for the length so I would probably avoid any extra batteries. On a side note I am having an issue with the mid hatch leaking (2012 model).

Neat to see how everyone sets up the stuff different.

Jeff is a good guy, big supporter of kayak fishing, most well known as a guide for smallmouth bass. When I bought my kayak a few years ago called him up he was very helpful. His boat is set up nice to cover the Chesapeake Bay and all the tributaries.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say anything bad about Jeff.  Different strokes and all that.  I was more trying to "get it."  I think in the Chesapeake this would work fine.  My error was i was thinking North Pacific.
