That place looks great!  Just curious, did you see any abs down there?  I know you cant get them, but it would be neat to see some real big ones.  Could my wife make it down the cliffs and have a comfy place to sit?  Thanks JR

i have not seen any abalone there but at carmel river beach have had days when i would see on some rocks 3 -4 large ones milling about. sometimes we look into holes and see piles of abalone shells and we know a resident cabezon is near. so we scratch the rocks trying to draw them out for a shot.

garrapata was weird when i dived, it was a calm day and water was really clear but there was just no life, i looked everywhere and there was no life whatsoever. i looked under huge overhangs and there was nothing. we did not venture diving over 45 feet depth though. there is a lot of fish out farther. we just didnt go far out. we stayed in the cove.

enjoy!
